Food is cooked to order, it's quick and delicious. I'd recommend the cracked conch. You can eat in, pick up or go to the drive thru. Staff is friendly and it's family owned (operated). Every time I go Friday night it's packed I'd call ahead as the wait time is long since everything is cooked to order.

Service was friendly, food was good (if you like everything deep-fried, and I do). The one thing that takes away from this place is the flies in the dining room area. You kinda get what you pay for as far as ambience, so if that bothers you, then go to the drive-up window or get your order to go. Would dine here regularly if they invest in a bug zapper or whatever it takes.

I'm a fan of the catfish and shrimp. Your chicken wings are good as well. All with extra powder LOL

I just ordered take out grouper and whole snapper. The fried grouper filet was impeccably delicious. The portions are huge, the service was quick (10 minutes) and their spicy garlic sauce gave a special quick to my fish. I just heard the snapper was also very tasty. The food is honest: fried fish, French fries, white bread, coleslaw and sauces. The price is as honest as their food: less than $23 for a dinner fried fish feast.

Two and a half stars, really. Good food, horrible service. Not sure what system they have running but it takes away from the food :(

Hook's Whole Fried Snapper Dinner still a favorite takeout delight. Catfish, shrimp, and chicken wings also help when the diet affords a little fried stuff. Daily specials, and for sweet indulgences desserts and sweet soft drinks can suit your fancy.

Actual restaurant doesnt look pretty. But I guarantee you cannot find better fried fish anywhere! Surprisingly fresh, I eat here all the time and yet to have a bad experience.

if you are talking about the actual restaurant it's a one, but the food itself, it's a 5. Anyone who is complaining about crackheads needs to understand that crackheads aren't the food. The food is freaking delicious and you always walk out more than full. It's also priced very well. Yes, it's a dumpy location, a block from the hood, but that's what you get when you get good tasting chicken and fish. The drive in is a disaster. You only go through the drive in if you want to wait. Always go inside. Food is cooked to order so if you are going through the drive thru, you'll be waiting a good 15 minutes. And the cashier girls aren't the brightest on the block, but they are no different than McDonald's employees with the exception of incessant texting.

My dad had been meaning to bring me here for years, it seems. We finally got around to trying it out, and even though the place looked a bit seedy, I decided to keep an open mind. Two friendly guys greeted us as we walked in, and they were patient with us and answered our questions. My dad ordered the tilapia, while I ordered the perch. Now, I'm kind-of weird with seafood. I only like white, flaky fish that doesn't taste too... well... fishy. I also need to DROWN it in lemon juice. Thankfully these guys didn't bat an eye and gave us plenty of juice packets (and I used ALL of them). The food is cooked to order, so we sat in the tiny dining room and watched some football until our meal was ready. I had asked for hush puppies instead of fries, but they gave me both anyway. The hush puppies were quite good... I was just sad I only got two small ones. After trying both dishes, we determined that we liked the breading on the perch more, but we liked the tilapia itself better. I'm glad we tried it out, and I would come back again. But because the neighborhood isn't the greatest, I wouldn't come here alone.

I ate at this location for the first and last time. The food was awful. If you like plain seafood dipped in grease with no taste, this is the place for you. The catfish did not taste like catfish. The crack conch had no taste and the wings were tasteless and greasy. All food was served with fries that were not fried thoroughly. Also, the place was dirty. Stay away!!!!

The service was terrible. I went through the drive thur. With my father who was visiting from out of town and wanted some seafood without the wait. The young lady was very clipped and rushed me then when I got the window and waited about twenty mins. She handed me a bag of fries. I ask her what was in the bag and she responded what did you order. Well at this point I know she did not hear my entire order and she is not at all trying to resolve the situation. I ended up getting a refund and with no sorties she closed the window in my face. Very disappointing I will never put up with that kind of treatment from a food vendor.

Good, cheap, quick. Loaded with crack addicts. Has decent fried conch, which makes me very happy. They undercook the fries, but serve them with everything (go figure).

After a rather unsatisfying seafood meal at another restaurant, I went driving around to see whatelse was open. This gawdy, campy, "this store as seen 10 owners in the last 10 years" looking place catches my eye....so in I went. To my surprise, this hot dog looking establishment had a wide variety of different fish....swordfish, crabcakes, snapper, etc....and CONCH!. Conch?....here???? So away I ordered..... 1. Conch cerviche salad: This was a cold mixture of cruchy veggies like celery and carrots, tomatoes, and conch pieces marinated in a lemon juice and spices. To my surprise, this was refreshing and quite tasty. At $4 for a half pint serving, this was a steal for conch. 2. Fried swordfish: The fish was done perfectly...moist and not overcooked. The breading was bland and flour like. They need to season the breading. 3. Corn fritters: Good and crunchy. Tasted like how I expect fritters to taste in the South. OVERALL: The portions were generous. Based on the breading I would have given this place 3 stars....but the prices and assortment of available fish "whole fried snapper" and conch dishes including fried conch and conch fritters which I did not sample...come'on...I can't eat THAT much....pulls this place up to 4 stars. A better seasoned breading on the fried foods could have tempted me to give this place 5 stars based on value.

This place is as nasty as it looks on the outside. I went in on a dare and ordered some ( go figure ) Catfish. I took two bites before watching 3 crack heads enter the restaurant: apparently regulars. This place makes LONG JOHN SILVERS look good.
